Role: Project Engineer

Location: Chiswick

12 Month Contract

Inside IR35

Job Purpose:

 The role shall provide Project Engineering support to coordinate all necessary development engineering studies and project execution activities for a Ghana project that will be out of our clients Chiswick office in the UK.

 The role will support both the Development Projects and Projects Execution Teams, and will be required to support both topsides and subsea projects across all phases of the project lifecycle (the actual project workload will be determined based on relative project workload and project phase and hence is expected to evolve from time to time).

Responsibilities / Key Objectives:

 Demonstrate personal leadership and commitment to EHS performance

 Participate in identification of the major EHS hazards for all scopes, particularly during the early stages of development and support mitigations to acceptable risk levels.

 Support project teams and execution contractors to deliver projects, without compromise on safety or quality.

 

Technical Coordination and Leadership

 To lead the development of “Studies” Scopes of Work / Statement of Requirements

 To coordinate multi-disciplinary Company engineering reviews / constructability workshops / HAZIDs / HAZOPs / ENVIDs / HIRAs

 To ensure that ESC and other contractors are delivering to the required Company technical guidelines / standards

 To coordinate technical input from all Company stakeholders including offshore and onshore Operations Disciplines

 To coordinate technical assurance audits / peer reviews / peer audits and Gate assurance reviews

Project Management

 Assist the Project Managers to develop and actively monitor project schedules

 Work with ESC focal points to monitor and measure the progress of studies / projects via a mix of project control tools including weekly / monthly / focus meetings, progress reports, P6 schedules, MDRs, risk/opportunity registers etc.

 Control Company and Contractor project documentation and ensure that the team follows established information management systems to exchange project data

 Assist Project Managers to address schedule clashes / synergies between subsea projects to ensure efficient resource utilisation

 Propose any improvements to Company systems and processes

 

Education:

Tertiary Engineering qualification at degree level

Skills:

 Experience in project management and project engineering through all project lifecycle stages

 Experience in project engineering with a recognized oil and Gas Contractor in engineering

 Demonstrates sound understanding of offshore industry EHS requirements

 Minimum 7 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas Industry with a technical discipline background

 Demonstrated experience within a brownfield projects environment, topsides experience essential and subsea experience highly desirable

 Proven understanding of offshore construction, installation and commissioning activities & key interfaces with respect to project management, planning & execution
